Installing VideographyWP

Install VideographyWP free from WordPress.org or upload the PRO package, activate it, and finish a two-minute setup.

Before you start

  • WordPress 5.0 or newer (block editor or Classic Editor).
  • For product gallery video: WooCommerce, plus a theme that uses the default WooCommerce product gallery or one of the supported premium themes.
  • PHP 7.4 or newer.

Install the free version

  1. In WP admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
  2. Search for VideographyWP.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

The free plugin adds YouTube featured video to posts and pages. Video inside the WooCommerce product gallery is a PRO feature.

Install VideographyWP PRO

  1. Download the videographywp-pro zip from your CodeFlavors account.
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, and click Install Now.
  3. Click Activate.

If you run the free version already, you can safely deactivate it before activating PRO — your imported videos and settings are kept.

Finish the setup

A new VideographyWP item appears under WordPress Settings. Then:

  1. Open Settings → VideographyWP → API Keys and paste your CodeFlavors licence key (PRO) to unlock updates and support.
  2. Add a YouTube API key and Vimeo access token so the plugin can fetch high-resolution thumbnails and descriptions.
  3. On the Settings tab, confirm which post types get video support — Post, Page and Products are all enabled by default.
  4. Import your first video.
